Unfortunately there aren't any SQL Server 2005 books out there (that I know off) that assume no prior SQL Server knowledge. That said I would recommend getting <A HREF="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0201615762/sql08-20/102-1687136-8876917?%5Fencoding=UTF8&camp=1789&link%5Fcode=xm2" REL="nofollow">The Guru's Guide to Transact SQL</A> by Ken Henderson<BR/>This in my opinion is the best SQL Server (2000) book out there.
